Vor ein paar Tagen hat Mitch Murder seine neue EP “Hardwired” veröffentlicht, ein wunderbares Stück Cyberpunk-inspirierten Synthwaves. Wie von ihm gewohnt bleibt Mitch Murder seinem eigenen Sound treu, und kreiert mit dieser Veröffentlichung zudem eine düstere, dystopische Vision einer nächtlichen Großstadt der Zukunft. Während wir in den wolkenverhangenen Schwarzen Stadthimmel blicken, sehen wir die Neonbuchstaben der Werbetafeln zwielichtiger Konglomerate. Szenen, die uns an “Johnny Mnemonic” oder “Syndicate” erinnern.
Unsere Lieblingstracksbauf der EP sind “The Raid”, der unter den tanzbarsten Stücken ist und eine außerirdische Coolness ausstrahlt, und der Closing Track “Revision Control”, der Song, der das cyberpunk-dystopische Thema der Platte am besten verkörpert. A few days ago, Mitch Murder released his new EP “Hardwired”, a beautiful little piece of Cyberpunk-inspired Synthwave. As always, Mitch Murder stays true to his own sound, but with this release creates a dark vision of a dystopian futuristic megacity by night. As we look out into the cloudy black sky we see the neon letters from the commercials of shady conglomerates. Scenes reminding us of the likes of “Johnny Mnemonic” or “Syndicate”. Our favorite pieces on the EP are “The Raid”, which is among the more danceable tracks with an outer-space coolness to it, and the Closer “Revision Control”, the song most strongly embodying the cyberpunk-dystopian theme of the record.
